Official Public Launch of the ‘NEW’ Knotty Heritage Train
Visitors and Enthusiasts flocked to Foxfield Railway today to be the first people to travel on the inaugural runs of the Knotty Heritage Train. Two Historic Coaches, Two Victorian Steam Engines and a lovely sunny day. History in the making the running of the oldest train in the country.....

A Victorian theme set by a steam engine from world famous locomotive builders!
The stage is set at the Foxfield Railway for one of the biggest steam events of the year. Up to six steam engines will be performing on the steeply graded line making each engine work extremely hard as they put on a show for visitors from far and wide. The annual Steam Gala takes place on 19th & 20th July and attracts thousands of visitors from across the country - being noted as one of the best steam events in the country. Visitors have said this is mainly due to having the steepest adhesion worked incline in the country and for operating an ex-colliery railway with steam engines that would have been found here in their working life is truly unique setting.

Autumn Steam Spectacular at the Heritage Foxfield Steam Railway
Blythe Bridge, 02/10/13.This Autumn, the Foxfield Steam Railway welcomes a steam engine that used travel the length and breadth of Staffordshire in its heyday. The ‘Jinty’ as it is known was a common sight travelling through Stoke-on-Trent on the Potteries Loop Line hauling passenger and freight trains.

Railway set for major steam party...
Foxfield Railway, situated in Blythe Bridge is welcoming visitors to its annual traction engine steam party on the 29thSeptember. Visitors will be able to see a variety of steam engines throughout the day, as well as travelling on Foxfield's very own steam hauled trains. Up to 10 engines from all over the county will come together to provide an un-missable display of history and horsepower. Many of which worked in around Staffordshire when it thrived on its industry.

Cooking with a steam train using its fire.
The tradition of cooking food on the footplate of a steam train is all not dead at the Foxfield Railway in Staffordshire. The fine art of cooking bacon, sausage and every else needed for a full English breakfast is still a common practise amongst many railway volunteers who meticulously plan the preparation, cooking and serving of a breakfast with nothing more than shovel to cook with!

The sound of steam trains returns to hills of Staffordshire this weekend as Foxfield Railway in Blythe Bridge opens its doors to the 2013 season! The last train ran on the railway on Christmas Eve and after the annual winter maintenance period Foxfield’s steam engines are ready roll again.

Foxfield Railway tackles five feet snow drifts!
The weather the ultimate maker and breaker of anyone’s day and Foxfield were no exception. The railway was subjected to tons of snow covering the line from the main station at Caverswall Road right through to Dilhorne Park. In places five foot of snow had gathered on top of the rails making it impossible to pass through with normal steam trains!

BR BLACK FIVE TO VISIT FOXFIELD! AUTUMN STEAM GALA 2012
Yes, that's right a black five will be visiting Foxfield Railway for our Autumn Steam Gala. Obviously we are overwhelmed at the agreement to bring such an engine to Foxfield and can't wait to see it at work on our banks. Black Five's were often a common sight around Stoke hauling coal trucks from the exchange sidings so it is only fitting that we can bring one in for this event.

Ex-Shelton Steel Works Steam Engines posed together for the first time in 40 years!
Sunday 25th September saw ex-Shelton steel works steam engines Hawarden and the Dubs Crane Tank together again after 40 years during the Foxfield Railways annual Traction Engine Steam Party.
