Cream Tea Dates

Once aboard the cream tea special you will be shown to your reserved seats. Now one of our historical steam engines will take you on a 50 minute trip through the lovely Staffordshire moorlands. During the journey our dedicated volunteer staff will serve your cream tea to your table. All your seats and tables will be reserved.

So why not make a day of it and bring the whole family. Our usual facilities Real ale bar, Buffet and station shop will be open and steam trains run from 11.30am.

Come and enjoy a majestic Sunday or Wednesday afternoon steam hauled train journey while enjoying a cream tea on board. Your steam hauled train will depart Caverswall Road Station at 16:00hrs* prompt for a 50 minute scenic round trip to the setting of the BBC’s Victorian Costume drama “Cranford”. Your train will travel through the Staffordshire Moorlands to the famous Hanbury Halt station which displays fine views across the across the countryside, during your journey a cream tea consisting of a homemade scone, jam, cream and a pot of tea will be served to you at your seat. After disembarking you may wish to sample a real ale or a glass of wine in our fully licensed bar before onward travel.

Please arrive 30 minutes before departure inorder to be shown to your seats.
